Question: do you think i will ever become published + BQ?
( Back )
Answer #1:
If you keep it up you will be published one day. You're only 9, if you keep at it, your future is bright.Answer #2:
wow, you're a really good writer for being 9. I'm happy that you found you like writing as well, as not a lot of kids do. Keep writing with what you're writing, but I would do something a little less like Diary of a Wimpy Kid because it's already been done by lots of other people. I think that if you write a creative story about some other topic, like super heroes, a fantasy world, or a realistic diary, and build on it until you're a couple years older, it could turn into something amazing :) keep writing!Answer #3:
Keep on writing, little one.(Okay, it's kind of weird calling you that since I'm only twelve.) Just don't stop. I myself am writing three novels. And as one of the people told me, "Be Fearless", if you're really serious about this, don't let others persuade you. Just have your own mind. And in writing, open up your mind to explore much, much, more. Remember, the mind is the widest place a person can go into.Answer #4:
You show some promise - your spelling and grammar are much better than many people who are older than you. You'd benefit most by working on story structure and plotting. Plot is not just "a bunch of stuff that happens."Is this the start of the story? You mention Cody without explaining who he is. When you drop a name into the narrative like that, the reader assumes that he should know who the character is, and wonders if he's missed something. If there's more of the story before this excerpt, where you've explained who Cody is, that's fine.
It's impossible to say whether you'll ever be published. For most people, the journey to publication is a long slow one, and many never reach the end of it. If all you want is something you can hold in your hands so you can say, "Look, I wrote a book!" you can go to a print-on-demand service. But no-one except friends and family will take you seriously if you do that.
EDIT: Re your BQ - the number of words on a page varies, depending on the size of the page and the size of the font, but it's normally between 250 and 350. So the number of words in total would be between 37,500 and 70,000.
