Question: San Diego Weather Tips for April.?
( Back )
Answer #1:
The weather in april is hard to predict...And this is coming from a person who has lived in SD her whole life..all 24 years of it. But I'm guessing that it's mostly going to be sunny with bits of rain..since is been a pretty wet winter. I know for a fact it will start to warm up later in the month...so if you are expecting to come later in the month you should be ok! A really good website for San Diego Weather is Click Here I found this website to be about right most of the time... but if you do decide to come when the weather is bad...Disneyland is super cool when the weather is kinda bad(NO LINES) samething happend to me when I went to Sea World...it seems to me that tourist dont really to like to go amusment parks in the cold weather...it's pretty awesome!
BTW...the closer you are to the beach...the colder you will get!
I hope you have a nice visit to America's Finest City!
Answer #2:
The ocean will be too cold to swim in without a wet suit. It is a cold northern current. The weather could be anything in April, from cold rain to sunny hot days. It's really unpredictable at that time of year. Check out the long term weather forecast about a week before you leave so you'll know what to expect. Typical temperatures will be in the 60's to low 70's. It's definitely not shorts weather. It is not a tropical climate. It is a Mediterranean climate.
Answer #3:
As people already mentioned, the weather here is extremely unpredictable. It could be raining but it could also be really sunny and warm.April could actually be a really great time to go to the beach. There won't be hordes of people so you won't have to deal with parking and beaches will be semi-private. The water probably won't be all that warm, but you could rent wet suits. There is definitely a chance we will have some sunny days and it could be shorts and tank top weather.
Also, April is a good time to go to touristy places like Sea World, etc because since it's not summer and the weather probably won't be great, there will be less people. Plus, it's not fun going to those types of place when it's sweltering hot. The slightly cooler air will feel good.
Hope you have a great vaca!
