I feel its not really a vacation if you're alone, I would rather go with friends.

I have gone away by myself a few times I live in Canada & I have gone to Florida
for a week during our winter time
I had a great time & I highly recommend it to everyone to go away by yourself
I am also a female who was careful of my surroundings at all times

I have not taken vacations alone before per say. But with some friends we went to Europe, being there, some wanted to go to Germany, some to Brussels and some to Amsterdam (Red district). As a result most of the group went for a weekend alone to their place of choice. So YES in that trip I took some days of my vacation alone and had a BLAST :D

Yes. I vacationed solo one winter in the Bahamas and had the best holiday of my life. Being alone, I made the effort to meet more people, and was approached more by others, including locals, to join in on things. I was able to do or not do what I wanted, on my own time

I wouldn't travel alone. It's very scary sometimes, traveling in a foreign place not knowing where places are or anybody to have with you. You never know, you could get lost and have no one with you to contact, you could get injured and no one would be there to help you. Traveling definitely requires some dependency. So, No, I wouldn't travel alone. Besides, traveling with other people is fun! :)
